I’ve been rereading my issues of Young Justice and, of course, that led to me rereading fics of my favorite pairing.

Because the Tim/Bart fandom is so (unfortunately!) small, I thought that I would collect some of my favorite fics and authors that may be difficult to find :)

*Great Fics*

Beneath the Bedrock of Mystery by Te: A fantastic study of Bart, and the other Titans, during the beginning of Teen Titan V3. One of my favorite Tim/Bart fics written. Actually, Te is one of my favorite authors; just go to her site and start reading — she’s written a bunch of Tim/Bart, along with pretty much every DC Comics pairing imaginable [The More We Get Together being one with with a LOT of pairings, including a generous helping of Tim/Bart].

Best Days of Our Lives by Derrydown: A great fic where Bart joins a film club, starts dating Tim, and meets Bernard.

First Date by Kingburu: I adore this fic. It’s Tim and Bart’s first date, which unexpectedly has them looking after Irey, Jai and Damien (who is particularly adorable).

Ikonoclast by Girl_starfish: A great story that’s partly AU and answers the question of what would happen if Wally founded a religion based on the Speed Force.

Implications by Femmedelalune: Bart has sexuality angst about Tim. Then, there’s more angst, with a hopeful ending.

Kinda like amaxophilia by Byblythe: One of those fics buried in the internet, that I didn’t know I wanted until I read it. A total PWP, but it’s Tim/Bart on the Batmobile.

No Dull Flesh/Whatever Life You Wear by Glossing: One of my favorite Tim/Bart fics, that I cannot justly summarize. There are Bart’s scouts, Tim making Bart his Robin, and the return of Mr. Sarcastic. (Glossing’s My Invisible Hands Are Not At Play is also great!)

Speed Me Through/Where the Light Won’t Find Youby Weirdnessmagnet and Te: For once, Bart broods. Tim tries to say “thank you.” Wonderful pieces.

Vampyre/Zhombies of London by Girl_starfish: If you haven’t read this yet, then you need to NOW. This is the epic!AU of the Young Justice fandom, set in the Victorian era and featuring werewolves, vampires, and, of course, zombies. Plus, there’s Bart in a dress. :)

I’m working on yours now. (Now that I’m reading the prompt again, I hope TimBrat=TimBart! If not, please tell me.) I’m not too comfortable drawing explicit NC-17 NSFW art, so I hope a R NSFW mini-comic will be okay! I’ve gotten a bit carried away with the image. :)

For a request at the yjanon-meme - Tim’s really grumpy. Someone cheers him up. I just couldn’t help drawing my DCU OTP. :)

Note: Bart’s failed attempts to cheer Tim up come directly from Young Justice In No Man’s Land 1, where Tim’s grumpiness at being kicked out of Gotham forces Kon to make Bart (unsuccessfully) try to cheer Tim up. I adore that scene, so I couldn’t help myself.

Hi! I’ve been a long-time Bart Allen fan, and with Impulse’s recent appearance in Young Justice, I figured that some new and old fans of the character might like to know where to find out more about him.

So, I thought I’d share my list (with added synopses) of his DC comic appearances that I complied because it may be of interest to people. He appears in some weird places, and I’m sure you’d all like to read more comics featuring Bart outside of his main titles! ^_^

There’s three panels of him in this ones, where he teases Superboy and offers to help Superman.

Adventure Comics #1
Bart and Kon have a conversation outside of the Titan’s Tower.

Adventures in the DC Universe #13
Bart goes to see a band named after him, and ends up working with Martian Manhunter.

Adventures in the DC Universe Annual #01
Bart gets knocked out of the speed force and helps an Indian tribe.

Countdown 43
While Bart doesn’t actually appear in person, this issue features his funeral. Tim and Cassie speak to the crowd about him, and a video Bart made was played to the assembly. (In the same theme as this issue, All-Flash 01 and the Rogue’s Revenge contain a lot of dialogue concerning Bart without him actually making an appearance. The Superboy-Prime issue of ‘Tales of the Sinestro Corps.’ features Prime defiling Bart’s grave.)

Damage #08
Here, Bart’s only in the beginning, where he questions Damage on why he’s taking a break from the Titans.

Damage #10
Once again, Bart’s only in the first few pages, being scolded by Green Lantern for following orders.

Damage #13
Bart and the team fight Damage, and he gets his feelings hurt. Poor Bart.

Darkstars #31
Bart unpacks the team’s stuff, and comments on a Flash action figure in his one-page appearance.

Darkstars #32
In which Bart saves a girl and punches out some bad guys in three-panels.

DCU Infinite Holiday Special
Bart, as the Flash, speed steals some of Joan’s famous butter tarts and helps a needy family in this Christmas special. Oh, and he also beats up some bad guys along the way.

Damage #48-49
Deathstroke teams up with the New Titans to beat up some baddies. Bart has a small speaking role in #48, but doesn’t say anything in #49 - acting as a background character (I only included #49 because it directly ties in with #48).

Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds #3-5
This features Bart’s re-introduction to the DC Universe after the events of The Flash: Fastest Man Alive. I can’t really say much else without revealing some spoilers, but his interactions with Prime, Jenni and Kon are wonderful.

Flash 80 Page Giant #1
Bart and Max have to round-up rodents in this short story. The most notable aspect of this appearance is the two mice Bart keeps in his room as pets, who are obviously parodies of a classic pair of animated white lab mice (I won’t say who unless someone asks – spoilers).

Flash Annual #12
A part of the JLApe event that features Max Monkey and Chimpulse. Completely cracky, but an entertaining read nonetheless.

Genesis #03-04
Basically, Bart helps beat up Darksied’s forces along with every other DC hero.

Green Arrow v3 #46
Mia (Speedy) goes to join the Teen Titans, which includes Bart.

Impulse & The Atom: Double Shot
Bart and the Atom get turned into (adorable) children, creating havoc for their unfortunate babysitter: Waverider. Features guest appearances by ravenous Velociraptors and the crew of a Khund War ship.

Impulse: Bart Saves the Universe
Just like the title says: Bart saves the universe through time travel and video game analogies. He also manages to annoy just about every member of the Justice League/Society in the process.

Impulse Plus + Gross-Out
Where Impulse helps out a hunted Gross-Out, and loses his speed as a result. He also meets a talking head with quite a large vocabulary.

Infinite Crisis
Bart’s main appearances in this seven-issue event are during issues 4, 5 and 7. He doesn’t feature prominently, however, only showing up for one-two pages before the scene changes to someone else.

JLA: The Secret Society of Super Heroes
(Note: This is a two-issue DC Elseworlds Comic)
Probably one of my favorite weird Bart appearances, because this comic does interesting things with DC characters (such as Barry and Martian Manhunter) and has a plot I thoroughly enjoyed. The Justice League operates in secret, acting as judge, jury and prison wardens for criminals. They try to recruit Bart to the cause, while Bruce Wayne, FBI, investigates the disappearances caused by the league. The ending is powerful and touching. I highly recommend it.

JLA – World Without Grown-Ups
The world is suddenly without grown-ups, and it’s up to Bart, Tim and Kon to save the day in their first team-up! This special contains some cute parts (ex. Bart vs. the Joker), and acts as a prequel to Young Justice.

JSA #54
In which the Justice League and Justice Society gather for Thanksgiving Dinner, and Bart bonds with Jakeem over how school stinks.

Justice League Task Force #26
A more Bart-centric issue (when compared to #30), where Bart steals Damage’s uniform, annoys Martian Manhunter and generlly creates trouble for the team.

Justice League Task Force #30
Bart only appears for a short while in this one, before being dragged away from the main action.

Legends of the DC Universe #19
A prelude to the JLApe Annuals, where Bart faces the scion of an old Flash enemy while rescuing some escaped apes from the Manchester Zoo. Max Mercury also helps.

Legion of Superheroes Vol. 4 #88
Brainy and Bart team-up with disastrous results when Brainy gets punished for his destructive experiments.

Legion of Superheroes Vol. 4 #99-100
C.O.M.P.U.T.O. is on a rampage, and the Legion receive help from a plethora of heroes to stop him and return home. In #99, Bart, Superboy and Robin help stop a giant robot. #100 features more fighting, and Bart hanging out with Jenni.

Legion of Superheroes in the 31st Century #15
(Note: This series is based on the Legion cartoon, thus not part of the normal DCU.)
Bouncing Boy and Triplicate Girl get trapped in a virtual reality simulator that’s going through some troubles. They meet Bart, who lives there while he learns to control his powers, and help him stop the problem (with Brainy’s aid).

Power of Shazam #41
There’s an air raid at Bart’s school, and he has to stop a missile launch. Bart only appears in two pages this issue.

Red Robin #20
Bart helps Tim by saving Catwoman.

Relative Heroes #03
The Relative Heroes end up in Manchester, where they make friends with Bart. This is relatively cute, with a guest appearance by Max.

Robin #101
Part of an ongoing storyline: Altered States, where a certain villain wrecks havoc on reality by using Bart’s scouts. He appears in the last few pages of the issue.

Robin Plus + Impulse
Robin and Impulse team-up for the first time when they both visit a snowy ski-lodge housing shady characters. Plus, there’s snarky banter, all their school friends and a cute ending.

Sins of Youth
A DC Universe event where the old get young, and the young grow old. Overall, a very entertaining and crack-filled event by DC (esp. the JLA and JSA parts). Bart appears in issues 1, 7 and 12, but it’s worth reading the entire series for some great laughs and a few tears.

Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. #02
Young Justice makes a page appearance in this issue, discussing a future trip to Blue Valley while Bart annoys Cassie.

Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. #05-06
Where Young Justice turn up at Liberty Bell’s School and encounter alien invaders. As a result, Bart gets his DNA rearranged - a very cute two issues.

Superboy Vol. 4 #65
Superboy returns to find Cadmus holding tryouts to replace him. There’s not a lot of Bart in this one, but he does appear along with the rest of Young Justice. Contains the ‘Greatest Gathering of Guest Stars in the Galaxy’.

Superboy Vol. 4 #74
A Sins of Youth tie-in, where Bart remains a background character for the beginning pages, then disappears from the issue entirely.

Superboy Vol. 4 #83
Superboy wakes up to find that he is no longer irresistible to women. Bart is his usual clueless and unhelpful self, though he tries, and Lobo’s not much better. This is one of the cuter stand-alone Superboy issues.

Superboy Vol. 4 #91-92
(Note: These tie into the Our Worlds At War DCU Event)
Superboy angsts a lot over what happened, and feels especially guilty about what happened to Bart. #92 also features a parody of Alice in Wonderland, with Kon as Alice and Bart as the White Rabbit.

Superboy Vol. 4 #99
Part of an ongoing storyline: Altered States, where a certain villain wrecks havoc on reality by using Bart’s scouts. He appears in the last half of this issue.

Superboy Vol. 5 #05
In this issue, Bart and Kon race for charity. He features prominently in this issue.

Superboy and the Ravers #7
Superboy and the Ravers go on a road trip, and run into Bart at a Flash festival. Hijinks ensue.

Supergirl Vol. 4 #36-37
These issues tie in with the Young Justice storyline: Heck’s Angels.

Teen Titans Vol. 2 #17
The Teen Titans hold tryouts, so Bart shows us with some friends to, well, try-out.

The Return of Donna Troy #2-4
Bart, as Kid Flash, is one of the Teen Titans/Outsiders to go and retrieve Donna from her new ‘home’. He’s portrayed as a more serious character than most of his other appearances, but does play a vital (if small) role in the events. Plus, Donna says nice things about him.
